Welcome to the home page for the William J. "Pete" Knight Chapter of the Air Force Association (AFA Chapter 294). AFA Chapter 294 is honored to be a supporting member of "Team Edwards" and a charter member of the "Friends of Edwards Air Force Base".
The AFA is an independent, nonprofit, civilian education organization promoting public understanding of aerospace power and the pivotal role it plays in the security of the nation. AFA publishes Air Force Magazine, conducts national symposia and disseminates information through outreach programs. It sponsors professional development seminars and recognizes excellence in the education and aerospace fields through national awards programs. AFA presents scholarships and grants to Air Force active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve members and their dependents; and awards educator grants to promote science and math education at the elementary and secondary school level. Additionally, AFA publishes a wide range of materials on www.afa.org.

2011 Edwards Airshow: The 2009 Edwards Airshow and VIP tent was a BIG SCORE. Unfortunately, the next Edwards Airshow will not be until Fall 2011.================================
AFA Ch294 has been invited to a reception to meet the AFFTC Commander, Maj Gen David "Ike" Eichhorn sometime in June. The reception committee is coordinating with AFFTC Protocol and will issue an invitation as soon as we have a date. Stay tuned Pete Knight Chapter Members!!!

AFA CH294 COMMUNITY PARTNERS:
All local AFA operations are conducted by individual volunteers and local Community Partners. AFA Chapter 294 Community Partners have contributed thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of labor in support of the Edwards Air Force Base Community to include scholarships, aerospace education opportunities and co-sponsoring base events. This support has allowed junior service members and the public to afford to attend award ceremonies, morale building events and Air Force Awareness/Education Events.
